Our lodge is a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador’s Outfitters Association, in good standing and licenced by the Dept of Tourism, and members of the PA Bowhunting Club and North America Hunting Club, donated hunts in past for fund raisers. Newfoundland Adventures offers comfortable accommodations at our beautiful full service main lodge, overlooking a large freshwater lake.
Our impressive lodge has all the amenities of home, complete with four double occupancy bedrooms, two full bathrooms/showers, dining and living room areas with a central fireplace.
Local trophies adorn the walls – the perfect place for relaxing after a day’s hunt.
Newfoundland Adventures can accommodate up to eight clients per week and have two remote spike camps that can be utilized during a clients stay with us.
We also have a smaller guest cabin – double occupancy, perfect for the couple wishing to book a hunt.
All bedding, linen, & towels supplied.
Our main lodge, two hours north east of Deer Lake, is accessible by woods road so poor weather typically does not affect travel time. Newfoundland Adventures will meet you in Deer Lake, Newfoundland when you arrive and drive you to and from the lodge. Arrival is on Sunday and departure the following Saturday, with exciting hunting from Monday to Friday.
We take a limited number of clients each year to keep our
animal population healthy.
We offer a 6 day package, (5 day hunt).
Licenses are purchased directly from us the outfitter, no draw process involved with one bear per license.
We hunt from permanently constructed tree stands that are well-covered and contain comfortable chairs for seating.
Stands are baited daily with numerous bear sightings. Fishing is available for land-locked salmon and brook trout in the spring.

Dan and Paul return to Newfoundland Adventures to hunt with Todd Wiseman. The boys have been hunting bears there for years, but this time, they’re after Newfoundland moose. With more moose on the island than people the action was fast and furious. Dan puts his JONA Custom rifle to work first on a bull moose in an area called Misery. Then he hands it to Paul to see if he can keep the streak alive.
